Courtmacsherry has been declared the winner of the Smart Travel Award for the South West Region of Ireland !

The award was presented by the Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Goverment, Mr. Michael Finneran in the Brehon Hotel in Killarney on 29 October 2010.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Tidy Towns Committee were its Officers, Johnny Murphy, John Young, Rosie Smyth and Brendan Murphy.

Since the award the Committee have continued their trojan efforts and have installed two new benches by the sea down by the car park so that people can sit and enjoy the view across the harbour.
