A great day was had by all in Courtmacsherry this St Patrick's Day 2011 !

The village itself was looking beautiful and was decked out in the Tri-Colour from one end of the village to the other - Courtmacsherry is unique in that it not only has a land parade but also a sea parade as well, led always in front by our very own RNLI Lifeboat, the Frederick Storey Cockburn (with St Patrick at the front of the boat dishing out blessings galore).

The Guest of Honour this year went to Courtmacsherry's own Mr. John Young of the Pier House Bar in Courtmacsherry - nothing needs to be added here except to say that it was a well deserved honour for many many deeds done over the years for the locality - a beautiful presentation was provided by Gillian and Phillipe Ossati of Abbey Crafts which is a local business that create fantastic pottery crafts.

Thanks must go to the Management Committee of the St. Patrick's Day Parade and all those who took part in the Parade and to those who attended and to the Gardai for mananging the smooth flow of traffic all of which made the St Patrick's Day Parade in Courtmacsherry 2011 a resounding success !
