The annual Strand Race meeting is to be held once more on the Sandbank at the entrance to the village. 

This is a hugely exciting and popular family event rarely seen now in Ireland that attracts the best horses and jockeys and a large crowd served by professional Totes!

There is also a "Best Dressed Lady Competition" which saw the former Miss World Roseanne Davidson make a guest appearance - we appreciate that it will be hard to beat but you never know what might happen in Courtmacsherry!
